Normal sample drop-off hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Do not hesitate to call if these times do not fit your schedule. Alternative drop-off times can be scheduled easily.
Sample pick-up via courier is available for our local customers. Please call in advance to see if you are in our coverage area and to arrange pick-up times.
Samples should be submitted with detailed identification using our Analysis Request Form. If this is not convenient, your company letterhead or purchase order may be used also. In order to ensure accurate identification, label each sample clearly and properly (please print) along with the specific tests to be performed. Perishable samples should be packed in coolers with dry ice or cooler packs when possible. In some circumstances, PALNWA can return coolers upon request. Please note: Ice is not recommended for packing as any melt water formed can jeopardize the integrity of both sample and result.
Samples submitted for Microbiology should be received by PALNWA within 24-48 hours of sampling and should represent the state at which you wish the product to be tested (keep frozen or refrigerated product in a frozen or refrigerated state; product stored at room temperature keep at room temperature).
